Inside, the cottages are equipped with full kitchens, en-suite bedrooms and spacious living areas with indoor fireplaces, while outside, the private decks with a braai/barbecue offer beautiful views of the surrounding farm and are the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset. There is plenty of space for children to run around, as well as a swimming pool and jungle gym to add to their entertainment.

I was in need of a quiet nature break and that is exactly what I got! I stayed in the Thatch Cabin, which gave me the wild nature experinece I was after. I loved walking around the farm and sitting beside the river. I felt very safe as a woman on my own. The cabin was well equipped and I appreciated the condiments supplied. The owener, Tim, was great with communication and I received a warm welcome from him with eggs from the farm!

La Ferme impact highlights

La Ferme works hard to support sustainable tourism by keeping its impact on the environment as low as possible. La Ferme boasts a sophisticated solar installation with panels in different locations on the farm that successfully reduce their CO2 emissions by approximately 40,000 kg per year. A powerful battery backup keeps the lights on during loadshedding so guest do not have to worry about the lights going off during their stay. Water usage on the farm is primarily used from the crystal clear natural river that runs through the property. The owners have ensured that the amenities in the cottages are environmentally friendly, while a selection of happy resident hens provide free-range eggs for La Ferme's guests.
