The property's near-zero light pollution makes for exceptional stargazing, and the resident birdlife adds life to otherwise deeply quiet days. The town of Calitzdorp is a short drive away, home to award-winning wine estates including Boplaas, De Krans, and Axe Hill, as well as local restaurants, hiking trails, and the Calitzdorp Spa with its natural mineral hot springs. Further afield, the Gamkaberg mountain range offers 4x4 trails and nature walks, while Oudtshoorn - with the Cango Caves and ostrich farms - is easily accessible.
