Accommodation Description

Mont Eco Game Reserve is one of the rare Big 5 game lodges within the Western Cape, offering guests a quintessential safari experience on the slopes of the magnificent Langeberg Mountain range in the Klein Karoo. Situated adjacent to a seasonal riverbed, Kingsley Lodge at Mont Eco Private Game Reserve encompasses the main lodge, featuring various communal spaces, diverse dining options, and seven modern and spacious suites. The lodge's interior design features unique textures and colours, incorporating handcrafted doors, mosaic murals, and subtle eclectic elements to evoke the vibrant spirit of Africa.

Utilising stone, ceramics, wood, and glass, the lodge has a contemporary style, with large stacking glass doors seamlessly connecting the indoors with the outdoors. The central area serves as a welcoming space for dining and relaxation around a view-drenched swimming pool. Guests can unwind on the expansive deck or in the cosy lounge, partake in a wine-tasting experience from the private cellar stocked with local wines, and immerse themselves in the serene sounds and fragrances of the Karoo.

Setting Description

The Klein Karoo region of South Africa is dotted with natural attractions and rich history. Every game drive at Mont Eco Game Reserve promises a fresh adventure through the bush, valleys, and mountains of the Klein Karoo in pursuit of the Big 5 – leopard, lion, elephant, rhino and buffalo. Explore ancient riverbeds that meander through a border of Acacia trees, creating a picturesque wooded haven beneath the towering cliffs of the Langeberg Mountain range.

Guided by knowledgeable safari guides, you'll gain insights into this unique area, delving into the symbiotic relationships between the fauna and flora of the Klein Karoo. Game drives occur twice a day, varying with the seasons — embarking on an early morning journey as the sun gradually illuminates the trees and mountains, and another just before sunset, casting a golden glow on the landscape.

Superb

Very new game reserve thus you really see the natural wild behaviour of the animals. For this reason, unlike other more. Extraordinary personal approach and high-level service. Nicely equipped lodges, ideal for honeymoon, surreal sky full of starts at night. The resort is completely off grid powered by solar panels.

A magical trip in every way!

We had a magical stay here! The room was probably the most beautiful hotel room we’ve ever been in - the attention to detail was incredible and it’s obvious that no expense has been spared even down to the mattress and the bedding. The lodge is spectacular with beautiful fires, candles and sofas and an amazing game room. The game drives were incredible - we saw so much
