Accommodation Description
At Rivers End Farm Stanford, guests can choose between a raised three-bedroom log cabin, a unique “Black Eagle Bus” camper-van unit, and spacious bush-camping sites. The log cabin accommodates up to eight guests and offers sweeping views across the water and mountains, a wood-fired KolKol hot tub on the deck, and open-plan living with a full kitchen and comfortable lounge. The Black Eagle Bus is a more compact option for two (and a child), with a double bed, sofa-bed, shower, toilet, kitchenette, and solar power. The campsite sites provide a true off-grid experience with generous space, privacy, and tranquil surroundings. The entire property is pet-friendly by arrangement. From hearty communal fires to starlit nights beside the water, the focus is on simple comfort, nature immersion, and flexible accommodation for families or couples.
Setting Description
Set within a bird sanctuary on the banks of the Klein River Lagoon just outside Stanford, the farm offers a genuine escape from urban life. The cabin is elevated on stilts so you can admire the marshland, the changing water levels that bring in canoeing or dried pans to explore, and distant mountains at dawn and dusk. Campsite areas are tucked into Bluegum groves, wetlands and wild fynbos patches, completely off-the-grid yet accessible. The nearby village of Stanford and coastal towns offer easy excursions, but here the emphasis is on fresh air, river paddles, birdcalls at sunrise and fireplaces under unspoilt skies. For pet-owners, the expansive grounds allow dogs to roam with supervision, making it rare to find a getaway that accommodates both nature and your furry companion so well.
