Robertson Manor is a boutique guesthouse housed in one of Robertson's oldest surviving manor houses - a Cape Dutch property with a history stretching back to the earliest days of the town. Reimagined as a private retreat, the manor offers five elegantly decorated suites across 5,500 sqm of mature gardens: the Erica Suite, Protea Room, Orchid Room, and Aloe Suite, each opening onto a furnished private patio with garden views. Rooms feature air-conditioning, a stocked mini-bar, in-room safe, DStv, and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout. Breakfast is served daily, either in the dining area or on the patio, with lunch and dinner available on request. The manor accommodates up to ten guests and is equally suited to couples, small groups, and those simply looking to slow down in genuinely beautiful surroundings.
Robertson sits at the centre of the Valley of Wine and Roses, flanked by the Langeberg and Riviersonderend mountain ranges in the Breede River Valley. It's a town that moves at its own pace - unpretentious, deeply beautiful, and home to over 50 wine estates along Route 62, the world's longest wine route. From the manor, guests can explore celebrated wine estates, olive farms, art galleries, and craft studios, or take to the Breede River for a guided cruise. Cycling and hiking trails wind through the valley and surrounding mountains, while the Breede River offers swimming and canoeing. Cape Town is roughly two hours away, making Robertson an easy and rewarding escape without the crowds of Stellenbosch or Franschhoek.
