Setting Description

The Romansbaai Collection is part of a private estate close to Gansbaai, just a 2 hour drive from Cape Town. The estate has an exclusive white sandy beach with a lovely turquoise-blue sea below, and with mild water temperatures, guests can enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea at any time. There are multiple coves and secluded rocky shelters to be explored, and while roaming on the estate, you might encounter the resident herd of springboks, bontebok and zebras. From Romansbaai it's just a few minutes to visit Walker Bay, a unique coastal reserve. Activities here are plentiful, including 4x4 trails, fishing, bird watching, various hikes and when the season is right, whale watching. Walker Bay also has an important historical significance, there have been records of humans living in the area dating back 65.000 - 85.000 years.
