Accommodation Description

This elegant period house, built in 1904 and refurbished for self-catering stays, offers four bedrooms and three bathrooms for groups or families seeking a country retreat. The main suite features a king-size bed, baby cot and en-suite bath and shower; a second en-suite bedroom has a queen bed, the third a king bed with bath/shower and the fourth is fitted with two single beds (convertible to king on request). Guests will find a fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, alongside a central dining table. The lounge offers comfortable seating and a wood-burning fireplace for cooler evenings. Quality linens and towels are provided, and WiFi is included.

Setting Description

The house is located in the quiet farming village of Koringberg in the Swartland region, approximately 117 km from Cape Town, making a relaxed drive out of the city. The property is surrounded by an indigenous garden which frames a generous family pool with loungers and benches. Outside, one will also find a shady terrace that houses a pizza oven and outdoor braai-area, and there’s space for an informal game of boule. The front patio offers comfortable seating and a view across the garden. The village centre is within walking distance and gives a genuine small-town feel, while the broader Swartland area invites nature drives, wine-tasting and lens on rural South Africa.
