Setting Description
Limpopo River Lodge is situated within a 9,000-hectare private reserve in the Tuli Block, an area known for its mopane woodland, ancient baobabs and rugged terrain. The campsite lies within this reserve, offering campers direct access to a diverse landscape shaped by the Limpopo River system.
Wildlife and birdlife are abundant, particularly along riverine areas, and guests can explore the reserve’s network of tracks on self-drive game viewing excursions. The open, uncrowded nature of the reserve allows for a more personal safari experience, without the traffic associated with larger parks. The lodge is approximately 15 km from the Platjan border post, making it easily accessible from South Africa for overland travellers. With minimal light pollution, the campsite offers exceptional stargazing and a true sense of immersion in the African bush.
