OUR RESERVE GATE CLOSES STRICTLY AT 18H00 DURING THE WINTER MONTHS (MAY - SEPTEMBER) AND 19H00 DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS (OCTOBER – APRIL). STANDARD PAYMENT & CANCELLATION TERMS PAYMENT POLICY Full payment must be received by Hitgeheim Country Lodge no later than 30 days prior to arrival to secure your room and any activities booked. Reservations made less than 30 days prior to arrival will require full payment within 48 hours. Agents: Proof of full payment 30 days prior to arrival to secure booking and commission. Agents: Agents using our secure gateway/credit card to make payment will be charged an 3% credit card service fee. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations must be made in writing and the conditions of cancellation are as follows: If Cancelled 30 days or less prior to arrival date, 100% is forfeited. No shows: 100% cancellation fees. No refund will be given for guests who arrive but leave before the completion of their stay. 3% of the Total Deposit/Payment should a refund be required as an admin fee. CHILD POLICY Children aged 0 – 2: Free of charge (no meals included) Children aged 3 – 12: Child rates apply. Children aged 13+: Adult rates Child rates are available for children under the age of 12 years sharing a room with their parents. TRAVEL INSURANCE Please make sure you have Travel Insurance and that your insurer is well informed about our T&C’s. YOU HEREBY AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS Using our secure VCS payment gateway or any other payment method, you accept our T&C’s. Making any payment in any form protects our company & affiliated bank accounts against any charge-back procedure from any Credit Card Company or Bank. Should there be an increase in rates in accommodation and/or game drives/activities quoted at the time of booking, it is for reasons beyond our control. New rates/prices must be accepted by the guest/agent. All bank charges are to be covered by the guest, agent, or operator. If a refund is paid by Hitgeheim Country Lodge, the bank charges will be deducted from the refund payment. Road transfers and any other activities are nett and non-commissionable. The booking agent or operator will cover incorrect quotes or charges to the guest. Provisional bookings will be held for a maximum of 14 days unless an extension has been requested in writing and has been approved. Kindly note that bringing your own alcohol onto the reserve is strictly prohibited. When arriving at Hitgeheim Country Lodge, guests are kindly reminded that the reserve gate closes promptly at 18h00 (Winter) / 19h00 (Summer). It is important to follow the directions provided on our website and not rely on GPS directions, as these may not accurately reflect the best route to take. Our lodge is located in an eco-reserve at the heart of the Sundays River Valley Addo area, just 20 minutes away from the Addo Elephant National Park. Upon arrival, guests will be warmly greeted by our friendly staff and shown their accommodations. At check-out, guests are kindly requested to vacate their rooms by 10h30. Please note Check-in is before gate closure times. If you are delayed, please contact reception so they know what time they can expect you.
