The Great Escape
For an avid bush lover, this was an absolutely fantastic escape. We went to sleep with the calming sound of the river running past our campsite.

Lovely Campsite at the Gate of Baviaanskloof
Duiker campsite is private and right next to the crystal-clear stream. There are toilets and cold-water showers available. Arno is a welcoming host.

Tranquil and Shaded
Campsite number 1 is a large, lovely, very shaded site. Lovely view of the mountains from the riverside.

Beautiful Rustic Campsite
Beautiful campsite. We stayed in site no.1 but all 4 campsites are very nice. Lovely stream flowing past the campsites to cool off in.
Krugerskop-Kloof Wilderness Camp offers an authentic and off-grid camping experience in the heart of the Baviaanskloof East Nature Reserve. The camp features five secluded bush campsites - Duiker, Arend, Loerie, Bosbok, and Rooikat - each tucked under a canopy of indigenous trees such as Yellowwood, Wild Fig, and Milkwood. Each site accommodates 8 to 15 guests and is positioned alongside a mountain stream, creating a peaceful and immersive nature escape. Facilities include cold-water showers and braai stands, and while rustic, the setting encourages guests to disconnect and embrace the surrounding wilderness. Guests must bring their own camping gear and braai grids. There is no electricity at the camp, adding to the raw, natural atmosphere.
Situated at the eastern gateway to the Baviaanskloof Nature Reserve, the camp is surrounded by pristine landscapes, mountain views, and indigenous forests. It’s a paradise for nature lovers, bird watchers, and hikers, with a casual walking trail along the stream and opportunities to spot Knysna Loeries and raptors.
