Lalibela Game Reserve Mills Manor Setting

Situated in the Eastern Cape region of South Africa, Lalibela Game Reserve acts as the perfect next stop after a magnificent trip from Cape Town along the Garden Route, or as a weekend adventure for those living in the province. Unlike other reserves, Lalibela doesn't segregate lions, buffalos, and elephants into separate camps, allowing for a harmonious natural environment. Notably, Lalibela boasts the remarkable distinction of having more lions than game viewers, and a stringent vehicles-per-sighting policy ensures unparalleled wildlife encounters free from distractions.

What sets Lalibela apart further is its unwavering commitment to community and conservation; every bit of surplus revenue is reinvested back into these vital areas, with a firm resolve that no profits will ever be extracted from the reserve. The landscape itself contributes to Lalibela's uniqueness, as the predominance of grassland savanna supports an exceptionally high density of game, surpassing other Eastern Cape reserves. This abundance, coupled with truly remarkable numbers of plains game species, sustains an impressive predator load. Additionally, Lalibela stands out as one of the very few Eastern Cape reserves with no public roads traversing its expanse, ensuring an undisturbed and immersive experience in this extraordinary wildlife haven.

We were very lucky to spend an amazing weekend at Mills Manor . The experience was well above expectations in every regard. Mills Manor would cater very well for special celebration groups !! The renovations of Mills Manor have been done to the highest level and it feels very Victorian.Well done team!

Our first Safari and what a fantastic experience. We arrived later than expected, but were greeted with a superb welcome, nothing appeared to be of any trouble. The lodge staff, too many to name were all fantastic throughout our 5 night stay. It was a brilliant experience.
