Conservio is dedicated to promoting travel that celebrates nature.
Boomhuis is an extraordinary one-bedroom cabin nestled among towering indigenous forest at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains. Designed for two guests, it showcases striking architectural lines, a king-size bed, and a cosy fireplace. The open-plan interior blends seamlessly with nature through large windows and an enclosed deck with lounging areas. A wood-fired hot tub, outdoor braai, and double outdoor shower heighten the immersive forest experience. You'll find a kitchenette equipped with a gas hob, microwave, fridge‑freezer, kettle and toaster, complemented by complimentary farm‑fresh rusks, eggs, and homemade piquante peppers. High-quality linen, robes, insect repellent, bath amenities and electricity powered by off-grid solar and gas systems ensure comfort. Thoughtfully curated extras such as board games, wine glasses and secure parking complete the offering. Boomhuis is a perfect romantic escape- a harmonious fusion of forest seclusion, thoughtful design and genuine warmth.
Set within a canopy of indigenous forest, the cabin sits close to a gentle stream and is threaded by walking trails that lead to the Modder River’s waterfall and freshwater pool. The property spans lush farmland featuring riverbanks, forest paths and open spaces framed by mountain vistas. Guests can embark on morning hikes, meander between buffalo grazing zones, or unwind by the hot tub listening to birdsong. At night, the firepit boma invites intimate starlit conversations. Boomhuis lies a scenic 15‑minute drive from George Airport and offers easy access to the broader Garden Route—beaches, mountain hikes, golf courses and wildlife viewing are close at hand. Yet, once inside the forested sanctuary, all worldly distractions fall away. This setting is about reflection, connection and the restorative power of untamed nature.
