There is undercover parking, a private deck, an exclusive plunge pool and a firepit with braai for outdoor cooking. Situated within the Ndlovumzi Game Reserve in the Greater Kruger to Canyons Biosphere, Mountain View Safari Lodge is a tranquil escape tucked away deep within the African bush, a mere 30 minutes outside of Hoedspruit. The surrounding Olifants River Conservancy is teeming with a variety of animal species and birdlife, offering nature lovers a truly immersive experience in a peaceful setting. Comprising a selection of luxury safari tents, each self-catering glamping unit has been crafted to meet the highest international standards, ensuring a tranquil and rejuvenating stay in the bush.


The tents offer a seamless connection with the indigenous wildlife, allowing guests to encounter the myriad of birds and animals without obstruction. The lodge has spared no effort in equipping both tents with everything guests require for utmost comfort, with each camp providing locally sourced craft coffee and ample freezer space for storing ice and meat, ensuring convenience during your stay. Each tent has a private firepit and deck area with a plunge pool, for added privacy and luxury.

You can take a stroll on a bush trail to our private lookout deck and have sundowners while enjoying a magnificent view of the Drakensberg mountains.


Setting Description


At Mountain View Safari Lodge, guests are enveloped in an atmosphere that nurtures a deep appreciation for the surrounding natural environment. The northern region of South Africa is known for its untouched wilderness, and guests are invited to immerse themselves in an authentic safari experience. While elephants and lions may not be present, guests at the lodge could be treated to the sight of giraffe, zebra and other game animals quenching their thirst at the pool or curiously investigating the tent windows.


A local safari guide provides a variety of activities tailored to your preferences. These include guided nature hikes, exclusive game drives, astronomy and stargazing safaris, Big 5 guided tours, educational birding expeditions, as well as guided mountain and canyon tours in a 4x4 vehicle. Nearby attractions also include the Greater Kruger National Park, Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, and Blyde River Canyon.
