Pel's Post is an eco-luxury lodge located on a private concession, Makuleke Contractual Park, in the pristine far north of the Kruger in South Africa. With only four suites and views expanding as far as the eye can see over the Luvuvhu River, the lodge offers an intimate experience of this awe-inspiring area. Pel’s Post is ideal for a group of friends or family to take exclusive use as it accommodates just eight guests, who are treated to their own private guide, private vehicle, and private chef during their stay at the lodge.

The rooms are designed for utmost comfort, with exceptional game viewing from the comfort of your private patio. Pel's Post has a unique architecture, with only one solid structure wall, and the rest being remote-controlled screens that can completely open up to expose the vistas beyond. A stay at Pel's Post will allow you to experience the most peaceful game drives as they are one of only two commercial properties in the entire 26000 Ha concession.

Setting Description

The area is the most isolated wilderness corner of South Africa and is rich in wildlife. It's also the only area in the Kruger National Park where you can find herds of thousands of buffaloes, hundreds of elephant and many rare elands. The diverse landscape offers a unique experience every day, from enjoying your morning coffee while enjoying the views of the 25-million-year-old Lanner Gorge to later enjoying sundowners in the biggest fever tree forest in the southern hemisphere. The area is also home to ancient baobab trees, a lovely sight for those with an interest in natural history.
