Above the banks of the majestic Luvuvhu River, in a remote and northern area of South Africa’s world-famous Kruger National Park, lies the luxurious Outpost lodge. The Outpost Setting

Perched on a hillside with views across the expansive wilderness of northern Kruger, and surrounded by a fever tree forest, the Outpost falls within the Makuleke region concession area which extends northwards to the Limpopo River and borders Mozambique and Zimbabwe.

Teaming with biodiversity, this special conservation area near Kruger’s Pafuri Gate is known for some of the best wildlife viewing in South Africa. Home to the Big 5 and some of the oldest and most spectacular giant baobab trees, the area also boasts over 350 bird species including the Scarlet-chested Sunbird, the elusive Pel’s Fishing Owl and Scops Owl, making it a haven for all nature lovers.
