Home-away-from-home

Perfect home‑from‑home feel, kids loved the pool and boma evenings.

Accommodation Description

Hill Top House is a self‑catering family home perched above Valley Lodge, offering three bedrooms and three bathrooms for up to six guests (max four adults and two children). Two bedrooms are en‑suite; all boast underfloor heating. The open‑plan living area features a fireplace, comfy lounge, dining table, fully equipped kitchen (fridge, oven, stove, microwave, toaster), and sliding doors opening onto a timber deck. Outside, there's a private swimming pool, braai area, and an authentic boma with firepit - perfect for sundowners under the stars. Generous daily housekeeping ensures all linens and towels are refreshed. Hill Top House offers the privacy and warmth of a standalone home, set against rolling Zululand hills.

Setting Description

Tucked into the hills of Babanango Game Reserve, Hill Top House overlooks sweeping valleys edged by indigenous vegetation and spectacular mountain views. The lodge lies near significant cultural and natural landmarks - historic battlefields at Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift are within easy reach—while game drives through the 4,500‑hectare reserve reveal buffalo, giraffe, zebra, antelope, black and white rhino. The remote location provides a serene bush escape without compromising on access to guided wildlife experiences, community‑supported conservation tours, and tranquil walks among ancient aloe forests. The house sits privately amidst the valley, offering both seclusion and proximity to lodge amenities.
