Located in the heart of Zululand in KwaZulu Natal, mFulaWozi Wilderness stands as a premium private game reserve. This African escape enables guests to encounter the Big 5, embark on game drives, explore the wilderness on walks, revel in the comfort of its lodges, and indulge in tailored wellness treatments throughout the day. Named in honour of the local chief, Phiwayinkosi Biyela, a direct descendant of King Shaka, Biyela Lodge is intricately built into the hillside, strategically situated to capture the expansive vistas of the majestic plains surrounding the White iMfolozi River.
Comprising just 12 beautiful standalone suites, each equipped with a private deck and, in most cases, a personal pool, mFulaWozi Wilderness Biyela Lodge creates an intimate connection with the natural surroundings – a sanctuary of seclusion and eco-luxury. Each suite provides unparalleled views of free-roaming wildlife as they graze and traverse down to the river in front of the lodge, and, inspired by a modern apothecary theme, contribute to the lodge's unique ambience.
Sitting on a hillside amidst the untouched wilderness of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa, mFulaWozi Wilderness Biyela Lodge offers an ideal vantage point to capture breathtaking views of the expansive flood plains along the white iMfolozi River. Crafted meticulously by members of the Biyela clan, the lodge is surprisingly modern and contemporary, providing an oasis of privacy and eco-luxury.
Witness the beauty of the sunrise and the river from the comfort of your private deck, complete with exclusive plunge pools, before embarking on an exciting adventure with one of the dedicated and passionate guides, exploring the wonders of the Big 5 through daily game drives and informative safari experiences.

We had a warm welcome from the staff, and they went all out to make us feel comfortable. As for the room was clean, modern furnished, big, had a spectacular view... The Lodge on its own is very beautiful. Our guide Sipho is very knowledgeable and very friendly too.
