Graceland Eco Retreat operates entirely off-grid, relying on solar power for lighting and water heating, ensuring a sustainable yet comfortable stay. The on-site PAUSE restaurant, housed in a converted steel barn overlooking the Kudu River Valley, features a cosy ambience with glass panel walls and a spacious lounge area with a grand fireplace. Guests are invited to savour their meals amidst the serene backdrop of the valley.

Our stay at Graceland Eco was exceptional and really good value for money. The rooms are very spacious and comfortably appointed. The property is easy to reach and the setting is superb. Our hosts were fantastic - accommodating and friendly. Lastly, we enjoyed a magnificent meal at the restaurant. I would highly recommend Graceland to anyone that travels to the Magoebaskloof area.

Travelling from Polokwane.
1. Follow the R71 from Polokwane towards Tzaneen until you reach Mankweng (approx. 27km). Turn left at the traffic lights at Paledi Mall towards the University of Limpopo and Mankweng Hospital. Pass the University on your right and continue driving for another 27 km until the tar road ends. Continue on the gravel road for approximately 2.6 km. On your left hand side, you will see our sign and the gate to Graceland Eco Retreat.
2. If you are travelling from Polokwane on the R81, you will reach Mooketsi after 80km. Continue past the filling station and shop towards Duiwelskloof/Modjadjiskloof and turn right to Houtbosdorp on the Kudu River Valley dirt road. Continue driving for approximately 40 km and you will see our sign on the right hand side and the gate to Graceland Eco Retreat.
Travelling from Tzaneen.
1. Follow directions to Polokwane on the R71. When coming to Mankweng turn right towards the University of Limpopo and the Mankweng Hospital at the second traffic light (at the Paledi Mall.) Pass the University on your right and continue driving for another 27 km until the tar road ends. Continue on the gravel road for approximately 2.6 km. On your left hand side, you will see our sign and the gate to Graceland Eco Retreat.
2. If you are travelling from Tzaneen on the R81 turn left just before Mooketsi onto the Houtbosdorp road following the Kudu River Valley dirt road. Continue driving for approximately 40 km and you will see our sign on the right hand side and the gate to Graceland Eco Retreat.
Travelling via Magoebaskloof
There is a short cut to Graceland Eco Retreat from Magoesbaskloof. This road is for a major part a dirt road which is normally in a good condition when it has been dry for some time. However, after heavy rains this can become a very muddy and slippery road and extremely difficult to drive.
Follow directions to Polokwane on the R71. Turn right onto the gravel "J" Road towards Kuhestan Organic Farm. Follow the signs to "O" Road past Boscobel Cottages. You will reach a tarred stretch of road. At the TJunction turn right. Continue until you reach the gravel road and continue for approximately 2.6 km. On your left hand side, you will see our sign and the gate to Graceland Eco Retreat.
The gate is opened manually by sliding it to the right. The lock for the gate is situated on the outside of the gate. The combination code to the gate lock will be provided to you before you book in as we change it regularly. Please ensure you close and lock the gate once you have entered and follow the directions to Serapana House or Graceland Main House and Kudu Chalet. Please ensure that you do not turn left towards Look Out Point as you would need a 4 X 4 Vehicle for that stretch.

No meals are included in the accommodation rate. Pause Restaurant is on the property and Breakfast and Dinner are available. Meals must be pre-ordered and paid 72 hours in advance.
The whole of magoebaskloof mountains is not suitable for a very low profile car such as a sports car. But with a normal sedan you can easily reach us.

Please note that PAUSE restaurant operates on a pre-booking and pre-payment basis, with all reservations required to be made at least 3 days in advance. It is not a walk-in establishment.
