Magari Safari Villa is a boutique bush villa located within the beautiful Jembisa Game Reserve in the Waterberg, offering a scenic space to enjoy the wild African landscape. This intimate and finely appointed villa, with its small-scale and private setting, is an ideal choice for small groups, families, celebratory gatherings, and even intimately romantic safari weddings. The villa comprises six en-suite bedrooms, with five rooms in the landscaped villa gardens and one room located within the main villa itself. Magari can accommodate a total of 10 to 12 guests, with a minimum age requirement of 6 years for children.
Among the garden rooms, two feature outdoor decks that overlook the valley and hills, complete with outdoor showers that offer stunning panoramic views. The remaining three garden rooms are positioned further back within the garden and feature covered verandahs, perfect for observing the local wildlife. The bedroom within the main villa provides a private setting and opens onto a viewing deck that showcases the stunning Palala Valley. There is also an inviting boma for evening campfire gatherings, a sunbathing terrace, and a scenic swimming pool that provides breathtaking views.
Magari Safari Villa offers incredible views over a meandering bend of the Palala River in South Africa, encompassing sweeping savannah and wooded plains against the backdrop of rolling hills. Guests at Magari Safari Villa will embark on a safari experience that nourishes the soul, providing an opportunity to relax in stunning surroundings.
There are a diverse array of activities on offer, including day and night game drives, guided nature walks, mountain biking, nature walks and the unforgettable experience of camping under the starry night sky. For those with a penchant for history and culture, the reserve also offers visits to Bushman painting and Iron Age sites. Additionally, guests seeking relaxation can indulge in rejuvenating massage treatments.

*Take the N1 highway from Johannesburg /Pretoria.
Turn off at the Kranskop Toll Plaza to Nylstroom/Modimolle. (Far left off ramp).
Once off the N1 and at the top of the off ramp, turn left towards Modimolle/Nylstroom.
Go through Nylstroom/Modimolle and continue on towards Vaalwater (± 70km).
In Vaalwater turn right at the first stop street towards Melkriver.
You will see the Jan Vleis sign on the right hand corner.
At the next stop street continue straight and travel for ± 40km, where after you will see a dirt road marked Jembisa/Melkriver School/Lapalala. – turn left on to this road.
After ± 5km turn right (on the corner there is an old Cape Dutch farm house on the right hand side). Continue on this road for about 5km. The road will bend to the right – the Jembisa gate is just after the turn on the right hand side. Go through the gate straight towards the old airstrip. Take the left road to the main lodge
