Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, this mountain escape is the perfect place to catch magnificent sunrises and sunsets, stargaze in the wood-fired hot tubs, all while you let yourself relax and recharge.

They offer all the essentials and luxuries, such as bedding, towels, cutlery, crockery, coffee, tea, sugar, basic spices, and braai equipment. Guests can unwind in the wood-fired hot tub, cook in the fully equipped kitchen, or enjoy board games and cards on rainy days. Additionally, there is a custom-made hammock overlooking the valley for ultimate relaxation.

Setting Description

Located in the mountains of Heidelberg, just 2.5 hours from Cape Town, Aviary Hills offers an easily-accessible retreat that still provides the feeling of being away from it all. Guests can enjoy endless hiking opportunities on the farm's expansive land, as there are no official marked trails. For cycling enthusiasts, the farm offers a great ride, though cyclists should bring their own bikes and avoid opening any gates. 

Fishing is available on a catch-and-release basis, but guests need to bring their own rods and equipment. The area is perfect for bird watching, with a rich variety of birdlife. Wildlife enthusiasts can view different animals, including antelope, caracals, and ostriches. At night, the farm's uninterrupted sky views provide an ideal setting for stargazing with a favourite beverage in hand.
