A true getaway location. This reserve is truly stunning and our stay was so relaxing. It was lovely to just decompress in the middle of nowhere. Such a private location with plenty of walks.

How to get there

Note: The reserve is located in a mountainous region, and the access roads are all dirt. We recommend that visitors use a raised vehicle such as an SUV or bakkie to access the farm, although a sedan vehicle with reasonable clearance and normal tyres and rims can drive the main farm road. A 4x4 is not necessary. From Cape Town International Airport: Exit the airport on Airport Approach Road and continue for 1.2 km. Use the left lane to merge onto Settlers Way/N2 via the ramp to Somerset West and continue for 450 m. Merge onto Settlers Way/N2 and continue for 5.6 km. Take exit 22A toward R300/Bellville and continue for 1.7 km. Merge onto Kuils River Rd/R300 and continue for 12.2 km. Take Exit 29 for R101/Old Paarl Road toward Brackenfell and continue for 500 m. Use the right lane to turn right onto Old Paarl Rd/R101 and continue for 450 m. Continue straight to stay on Old Paarl Rd/R101 and continue for 1.6 km. Continue straight to stay on Old Paarl Rd/R101 and continue to follow R101 for 5.3 km. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Maroela Rd/M167 and continue for 1.5 km. Turn right to merge onto N1 toward Paarl and continue for 77.1 km. Turn right onto R60 and continue for 1.9 km. Turn left onto Robertson Rd/R60 and continue for 2.6 km. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto R60 and continue for 30.7 km. Continue straight to stay on R60 and proceed for 5.6 km. Continue straight to stay on R60 and proceed for 8.6 km. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on R60 and continue for 14.4 km. Continue straight onto Main Rd/R60 and continue to follow R60 for 3.3 km. Continue straight onto R62 and continue for 9.4 km. Turn left at Van Riebeeck St and continue for 1.6 km. Turn left and continue for 15.1 km. Turn right and continue for 2.4 km. Turn left and continue for 1.3 km to the Ouberg Private Nature Reserve.
