Can't wait to visit the farm again
The accommodation is excellently furnished. Plenty of wood was provided for both the fireplace and braai so that we could have a nice warm visit despite the wet and cold. Should be a lovely summer destination. We had a very nice stay.

Best spot for nature lovers
The neatest, most comfortable and best-equipped house we have ever been to. Nice scenery, even an owl that sat behind the house. Very comfortable walks, even saw goats. Cyclists' dream with all the beautiful routes laid out. Would definitely go again and recommend for nature lovers.

Guests can enjoy many different walks through the fynbos on the farm, and there are also more strenuous walks up the mountain to enjoy the views. There are numerous other activities in the area such as trail running, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, swimming, bouldering, and adventure biking. There is a large dam situated approximately 500 m down the valley, this is an ideal spot to spend the day with family and friends. There is a small rowing boat and 2 kayaks which guests are welcome to use. While the dam is great for swimming, there is also a cliff jumping point from the island in the middle. For the fishing enthusiasts, the dam has been stocked with small mouth bass.
The monthly farmer’s market is held on the last Saturday of the month on the farm next to Retreat Guest House. The local farmers and community sell their fresh produce and crafts. There are gravel and tar roads from the top to the bottom of the mountain, ideal for downhill fun and endurance hill climbs. Single track paths are being developed. For a relaxing ride, guests can cycle around the top of the mountain.
