There are two options on how you can arrive to the lodge, once you enter the reserve:
1. Transfer – Recommended option. We offer two daily complimentary transfers from our Welcome Lounge at: 12h30 and again at 16h00. The Welcome Lounge is located 15 kilometres into the Reserve (and approximate 20 minute) drive from the Main Gate and we therefore recommend you are through the Main Gate at least half an hour before the Welcome Lounge departure time. Kindly note that should you wish to take the 4pm transfer, you will miss out on the evening game drive.
2. SelfDrive. You are welcome to selfdrive in your own vehicle directly to the lodge. Please note that the roads are not suitable for low laying vehicles or 'micro' cars (i.e., sports cars or smaller Hyundai i10). For planning purposes, kindly note that the Lodge is an approximate 1h20 drive in the reserve from the Main Gate to the lodge.
If you're driving to your lodge yourself, it’s important to take note of the following:
* Please follow the relevant signs in the reserve.
* The recommended speed limit is 40km per hour.
* Do not exit your vehicle as predators roam free.
* The main gate closes at 18h00, should your arrival time be later, please advise prior to arrival in order to make arrangements.
