Unreal setting

The views from the deck were out of this world. So private and peaceful – we didn’t want to leave.

Magic in the forest

Loved the quiet, the hot tub, the fire at night – everything felt intentionally simple and beautiful.

Perfect digital detox

No signal, no distractions. Just me, a book, and the view. Absolute bliss.

Accommodation Description

Perched among the trees on a remote ridge overlooking the Eastern Cape bushveld, the Tree Top Cabin at Coopers Highlands is a secluded, off-grid sanctuary for couples, solo travellers, and nature lovers. Handcrafted using timber, glass, and stone, the cabin offers floor-to-ceiling views of the surrounding valley — a place to breathe, reflect, and disconnect from the demands of modern life. The cabin features a queen-size bed, an open-plan lounge with a fireplace, and a simple but well-equipped kitchenette. The highlight is the wraparound deck with panoramic views, a hammock, and a wood-fired hot tub built into the rocks. Whether you’re sipping morning coffee with birdsong in your ears or soaking under the stars, this is a place to feel far away from everything — but deeply at home in nature.

Setting Description

Hidden on a private eco-farm just outside Jeffreys Bay, the Tree Top Cabin is surrounded by indigenous forest, fynbos, and spectacular views toward the sea and mountains. The property is criss-crossed with walking trails and frequented by birds, bushbuck, and other wildlife. With no Wi-Fi or mobile signal, this is a proper retreat — yet it’s just 10 minutes from the surf, cafés, and vibrancy of J-Bay.

What We Love

  • -The wood-fired hot tub with an uninterrupted view of the valley
  • -Soaking up the sounds of birds and wind through the trees
  • -A perfectly designed space for slowing down, resting, and reconnecting
  • -The wildness of being completely off-grid but still so comfortable
  • -Only 10 minutes to Jeffreys Bay – surf in the morning, retreat in the afternoon
