Located on a private wildlife expanse in the Eastern Cape, Lalibela Game Reserve Inzolo Lodge strikes an ideal balance between privacy, scenic vistas, and sought-after comfort. The main lodge has been designed to maximise the panoramic views of the surroundings, seamlessly integrating the lounge and dining areas into the natural landscape. A spacious terrace serves as an exceptional viewing deck, extending into a delightful outdoor dining space. Surrounded by a tapestry of indigenous flora and prominent rock formations, the pool creates a perfect setting for basking in the sun.
Set in a striking valley, four roomy and cosy chalets offer sweeping panoramic views of the outlying bush. Designed with comfort and luxury as priorities, each chalet accommodates just two people and features a private balcony, allowing guests to observe the surrounding bush and wildlife. Additionally, each chalet is furnished with a coffee station, mini-bar, safe, and WiFi connectivity. The en-suite bathrooms offer his and her basins, along with a distinctive enclosed shower that provides a secluded view.
Lalibela Game Reserve is a unique wildlife area in the beautiful Eastern Cape province of South Africa, characterised by a singular, contiguous, and entirely self-sustaining block where all species freely roam. In contrast to other reserves, Lalibela avoids segregating lions, buffalos, and elephants into separate camps, fostering a harmonious natural environment. Notably, Lalibela boasts the remarkable distinction of having more lions than game viewers, and a strict vehicles-per-sighting policy ensures unparalleled wildlife encounters devoid of distractions. What further distinguishes Lalibela is its steadfast commitment to community and conservation; every surplus revenue is reinvested into these crucial areas, with a firm resolve to never extract profits from the reserve.
The landscape itself enhances Lalibela's uniqueness, with the prevalence of grassland savanna supporting an exceptionally high density of game, surpassing other Eastern Cape reserves. This abundance, combined with remarkable numbers of plains game species, sustains an impressive predator load. Additionally, Lalibela stands out as one of the very few Eastern Cape reserves with no public roads traversing its expanse, guaranteeing an undisturbed and immersive experience in this extraordinary wildlife haven.
Such a warm welcome from the very first moment. Excellent accommodation, and outstanding range of wildlife and excellent food. Wonderful breakfast on the balcony overlooking elephants at the watering hole. Could not be more perfect.
