Situated at Jozini Tiger Lodge in Northern KZN, Shayamanzi is the first and only cruise-like houseboat of its kind in South Africa, offering an exceptional escape to the wonders of the wild surroundings with all the comforts needed for a fuss-free getaway.
Shayamanzi Houseboat features six spacious and comfortable luxury cabins, each with en-suite bathrooms, and four smaller pontoon cabins offering porthole views. Each cabin has been designed with a beautiful indoor-outdoor flow, where large sliding windows frame the water and offer uninterrupted views of the Lebombo Mountains and the diverse wildlife of the Pongola Game Reserve, which inhabits the shores of Lake Jozini, also known as Pongolapoort Dam.

The Game Reserves surrounding Lake Jozini host many animal species which can be seen in herds from Shayamanzi’s decks: White and Black Rhino, Elephant, Buffalo, Hippo, Crocodile, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Zebra, Kudu, Nyala, Bushbuck, Mountain Reedbuck, Common Reedbuck, Red Duiker, Grey Duiker, Waterbuck, Steenbuck, Suni Antelope, Black Backed Jackal, Hyena, Cheetah, Wild Dog, Cerval Cat, Warthog, Bushpig, Banded Mongoose, Legavaan, Terrapin and the occasional sighting of Leopard which roam the slopes of the Lebombo Mountain Range.

Entertainment is provided in the form of a 37” LCD screen with DStv and a DVD Home Theatre System provides a wide variety of music to choose from. There is even karaoke for those keen on a humorous evening! The wet bar has a separate surround sound music system so that those relaxing in the Jacuzzi may choose their own rhythms. If that is not enough, there is also a dart board and please do bring your own board games.
* Luxury: As you lie in your oak paneled cabin, the stars reflecting on the water and the moonlight shining through the fluttering, drifting curtains, you wonder what could be more romantic. The hippos snorting in the nearby bay remind you that you are surrounded by nature at its best. The water system is top class resulting in a hot pressurized shower.

Head southwest, 450 m.
Turn left at the 1st cross street toward Mdloti St/M65, 350 m.
Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto Mdloti St/M65, Continue to follow M65, Toll road, 2.3 km.
Keep left at the fork and merge onto N2, Toll road, 700 m.
Merge onto N2, Take P522 to your destination in Nsimbane, Jozini, 21 min (19.9 km).
Turn right, 2.6 km.
Continue onto P522, 16.5 km.
