Located on a private reserve in The Waterberg region, Ant's Hill is a scenic bush lodge situated on the edge of a cliff, offering guests the chance to soak up the beauty of the surrounding wilderness with roomy suites and wide folding doors. The lodge blends well into the bush, with a traditional thatched roof and accommodation built alongside the indigenous trees. With a main lodge and just five separate cottages, guests are promised an uninterrupted escape in nature.
Each of the cottages at Ant's Hill have been uniquely built and decorated with modern and stylish furniture, creating a homely feel to the African bush experience – with stunning individual bathrooms featuring sunken baths and waterfall showers. Ant’s Hill can accommodate a maximum of 16 guests and can be booked non-exclusively or exclusively by one group at a time. Whether you are on a horse safari as an individual or on honeymoon, or travelling with a group of friends or family, Ant's Hill has something for every traveller.
The Ant Collection, consisting of Ant's Hill and Ant's Nest, comprises 12,500 acres of beautiful Waterberg bushveld, and is the ideal place to get up close and personal with wildlife whether it's on foot, in a game vehicle, or on horseback. The reserve is made up of 12 different ecological landscapes from open grassy plains to thick savannah bushveld, offering a broader variety of flora and fauna than anywhere else in Africa.
The Ant Collection has a wide selection of safari experiences on offer, including exploring the South African bushveld in an open 4×4 game vehicle, on horseback, or on bush walks to spot the elusive white rhino – which, although endangered, is prominent in the area. Enjoy mountain biking through the lodge's varied landscape, or partake in wine-tasting evenings and excursions in the surrounding area to see wild animals. Both Ant’s Nest and Ant’s Hill provide the full safari experience, whatever your preference.

Ant's Hill was the nicest accommodation I have ever stayed at. The staff were all amazing. Special shoutout to Bolt, Lucas, and Martha for their amazing service and guiding! The special sundowner experience with the rhinos was one of the most special moments of my life.
