About Jembisa Bush Home

Jembisa Bush Home is a beautifully private safari villa, perfectly positioned in the stunning mountainous region of The Waterberg in Limpopo, South Africa. Tucked away on Jembisa Private Game Reserve, the surrounds offer a peaceful escape from it all, with an extensive diversity of habitats and biomes as well as savannah plains, syringa forests, riverine forests, gullies, rock faces, cliffs, flood plains and the majestic Palala River flowing through the reserve.

Jembisa Bush Home can be booked out on an exclusive-use or per-room basis, and offers comfortable, wonderfully furnished lodgings with six en-suite bedrooms and a children's bunkroom. Five of these en-suite bedrooms are located within the Jembisa Bush Home itself, while the sixth loft-style suite, known as the Garden Room, is adjacent to the lodge and comfortably accommodates two guests. Jembisa Bush Home can host a total of 12 adults and 4 children and features spacious living and dining areas, a pool, tennis court, shaded patio and rolling lawns.

Jembisa Bush Home Setting

Jembisa Bush Home was initially constructed as a family residence, the very same family continues to operate the reserve, and their ongoing presence has preserved a delightfully laid-back ambience at Jembisa. A stay here is reminiscent of vacationing in a cosy bush home, complete with shared access to personal collections in the library and games room. The lodge's rich heritage has a distinctive atmosphere characterised by warmth, attentiveness, enjoyment, tranquility, and a true sense of being somewhere unique.

There are numerous activities to choose from while staying at Jembisa, suited to all ages and interests. These include day and night game drives, guided bush walks, wildlife camera trap setting, bird watching, campouts under the stars, mountain biking, teen tracker programmes, swimming, fishing, visits to Bushman painting and Iron Age sites on the reserve, and even at-home massage treatments for those looking for more rejuvenation.
