Nooitverwacht is a haven of African beauty, home to incredible wildlife. Our rangers, trackers and ground staff form a fantastic team of enthusiastic animal lovers who love to share their knowledge of the bush. Game drives on the property are offered twice a day, and are planned to coincide with the best game-viewing times. Evening game drives can also be arranged in search of the ever complete leopard, and spotted and brown hyenas that frequent the property. Our rangers will always ensure that guest safety will be their top priority, however guests are also reminded to be responsible at all times. Guests can also enjoy parts of the reserve from a top-of-the-range quad bike. Guests need to inform us of their levels of experience when booking so routes can be planned accordingly. Other activities on offer include, Big 5 walking safaris, interpretive walks, birding safaris, photographic safaris, mountain-bike trails, safari picnics, and clay pigeon shooting.

Please note at all times that the lodges are not fenced off from the surrounding reserve environment. Leopard, rhino and buffalo are found on Nooitverwacht and are able to wander freely throughout the reserve and lodge areas. Venomous snakes and scorpions are found on the property, please be aware at all times and wear closed shoes at night when walking around the camp. All guests that enter this reserve and make use of the facilities offered to them are to do so entirely at their own risk. Under no circumstances are guests to walk around the lodges at night unaccompanied by a member of staff or security. Nooitverwacht is situated in a low-risk malaria area.
