Set in the magnificent Cederberg this property offers you location and service which results in having a wonderful experience of this unique area. The lodge is very comfortable and the staff exceptional. We took the bed, breakfast and dinner package and could not fault any meal over our four day stay.

Located close to Clanwilliam, this remarkable spot offers incredible views and an abundance of clean, fresh air. The service is of the highest quality! The suites are absolutely beautiful, the food is divine, and there is a wide range of activities available to cater to every type of individual.

DIRECTIONS FROM CAPE TOWN
Take the N1 highway out of the city and then take the N7 highway in the direction of Malmesbury. Continue on the N7 for approx. 220km. Just after you start seeing the Clanwilliam Dam, look out for the offramp (to the left). At the Tjunction you turn right, to enter the town of Clanwilliam.
Stay on this road, passing two petrol stations on the left hand side. (Do NOT turn off to the right into the Main Road.) Stay on this road to exit the town, in the direction of the mountain range. Approx. 2km from the town (after a small hill), turn left onto the road with a green signpost for Klawer. Look at your speedometer and note your kilometers. Approx. 3.1 km along this road, you will see our gate & sign on the right hand side. Drive through our gate and up to the lodge.
Drinks are not included with meals. As people vary in terms of how much and what they like to drink. The minibar drinks are also for your account. There is always filtered water available so that you can fill up your complimentary water flasks. However selected drinks are included with the excursions. This includes a range of drinks on the sundowner trips (House wine, selected spirits, beer and soft drinks).
Children from 8 and upwards are more than welcome – 6 or 7 year olds by prior arrangement.
Yes, you can book a transfer. These are done by a fully insured/licensed transfer provider on the lodge's behalf. Please request more information when making your booking.
This all depends on whether you like to explore independently or whether you would prefer a more inclusive and guided experience. The Dinner, Bed & Breakfast (DBB) option is ideal for people who have their own vehicle and who like to be independent. The Full Board & Activities (FBA) option is best if you want to be shown some of the best of the Cederberg. It's also ideal if you don’t have your own vehicle.
That depends on what you are looking for -- guests seem to enjoy the lodge year round! Peace and away-from-it-all: Year round. Winter sun if coming from northern hemisphere: November to March. Extensive full day hiking: Most of year (but not recommended for December to February). Water activities on Clanwilliam Dam: November to mid March. Spring Flowers: Earlier than you would think – August.
