About Bundox River Lodge

Bundox River Lodge is a luxury tented safari lodge in Balule Nature Reserve within the Greater Kruger in Mpumalanga province, South Africa. Offering guests a sought-after sense of peace and privacy in nature, Bundox River Lodge boasts just four glamping safari-style tents that provide an authentic and intimate experience. Each glamping tent has been designed to blend wilderness adventure with modern comforts and style, featuring a private deck overlooking the beautiful Olifants River.

As the sun sets, the communal area transforms into a cosy gathering space with campfires under the stars, sundowners and delicious meals. Bundox River Lodge has a huge commitment to eco-tourism, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the untouched beauty of the environment while enjoying the comforts of a well-appointed property. Guided nature walks and river safaris offer thrilling encounters with the diverse wildlife, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts.

Bundox River Lodge Setting

Bundox River Lodge is located in a 5000-hectare private concession within the Balule Private Nature Reserve. There are no fences between Balule and Kruger National Park which means the wildlife roams freely between the two areas. The big draw to staying on a private concession, however, is that you don’t experience the crowds of tourists commonly seen in the main reserve – but are still able to enjoy the majesty that the Kruger National Park is known for.

Considered one of the largest and oldest safari areas in South Africa, the Kruger National Park is one of the best places to view wildlife, experience guided walks and explore some of the wildest areas in the country. Exploring the Greater Kruger Park through safaris opens doors to an extraordinary array of game lodges, immersive safaris, engaging activities, and guided tours, all converging to craft an extraordinarily unforgettable wildlife experience.
