About Kololo Game Reserve
Located in the magical Waterberg region, Kololo Game Reserve offers an immersive stay in nature with the chance to view wildlife in the neighbouring Welgevonden Game Reserve. Guests at Kololo Game Reserve are able to view free-roaming plains game such as kudu, wildebeest, impala, and warthogs from the comfort of their chalet or villa, while having the freedom to walk and bike at their leisure within the reserve, while the Big 5 is easily viewed through a private entrance into Welgevonden.
Kololo Game Reserve comprises 15 chalets and villas accommodating two, four, or six persons, all thoughtfully positioned among the natural beauty of the bush and surroundings. Each unit features a private shower and a separate toilet for each room, along with a shaded verandah and a fully equipped (outdoor) kitchen. The kitchen comes complete with tea/coffee facilities, ensuring your comfort, and, of course, complimentary Wi-Fi is provided.

The Fauna:
The magnificent diversity of the Waterberg is evident both in the natural environment and in the facilities and attractions. Kololo Game Reserve spreads over 3000 hectares of untouched African bush which consists of open savannah grass plains, thick bushveld, mountains and valleys, making it the ideal habitat for a wide variety of game. View impala, kudu, rooi hartebeest, blue wildebeest, zebra, eland, nyala, waterbuck, giraffe, blesbuck and bushbuck as well as smaller species such as duikers, mountain reedbuck, klipspringer, steenbok, bushpig and warthog. Bird watchers will enjoy over 300 species of birdlife which are indigenous to the area.
The flora:
The Waterberg is a geographical wonder which supports a biome of some 14 500 square kilometres and encompasses vast tracts of bushveld, punctuated with clusters of trees and tall savannah shrubs. Mountains, gorges, cliffs, open fields, wetlands, streams and rivers, give rise to a rich diversity of flora which supports the animals and birds that thrive in this area .
Vaalwater:
Vaalwater is the closest village, 29 km of dirt road away from Kololo. It is a small rural village with a supermarket, curio shops, petrol station and one or two basic restaurants. Many of the employees of Kololo live in Vaalwater. Kololo is sponsor of the Waterberg Welfare Society, as such supporting the local community.

How to get there
Take the R21 north to Pretoria(Tswane). Closer to Pretoria turn off from the R21 onto the N1 and continue north past Pretoria direction Pietersburg(Polokwane). Turn left on the R33 to Nylstroom(Modimolle) at the Kranskop toll gate. Go through Nylstroom and through Vaalwater(Mabatlane) (Do not turn right on R33 to Ellisras in Vaalwater continue straight to Bulgeriver/Thabazimbi) and 8km after Vaalwater turn left on the Bakkerspas road (there is Boom Gate and a sign to Kololo). Drive 29 km on a dirt road and find Kololo's gate on your right. Total distance from Airport to Kololo about 280km.

Payment Policy:

• Full and final payment must be received by Kololo Game Reserve no later than 30 days
before arrival.
• Reservations made less than 30 days before arrival will require full payment within 48 hours.

* Check-in: from 14h00, check-out at 10h00. Guests are welcome to stay on the premises for lunch.
* Late check-in fee (after17h00) R525.00. Late check-out fee (depending on availability) R420.00 per person.
* Transfers can be arranged by Kololo through our regular transfer company.
* All bank charges are to be covered by the guest, agent or operator. If a refund is paid by Kololo Game Reserve then the bank charges for the refund will be deducted from the refund payment.
* Incorrect quotes or charges to the guest will be covered by the booking agent or operator.
* Conservation levies, road transfers and any other activities are nett.
* Children on Big 5 Safaris: The timing of the drives and the option to include children under the age of 4 on the drives are at the discretion of the guide.

Cancellation Policy
• 30 days and less 100% is forfeited.
• No shows: 100% cancellation fees
• No refund will be given for guests who arrive but leave before completion.
• 3% of the Total Deposit/Payment should a refund be required as an admin fee.
